Ministry of Treasury and Finance responds to Özgür Özel’s accusations

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance responded to allegations made by Özgür Özel, a member of parliament, in a statement today. According to the Ministry, reports prepared by the Presidency of the Board of Financial Crimes (MASAK) should not be shared with the public and should only be forwarded to judicial authorities. The Ministry emphasized that sharing such reports with the public goes against state manners and political ethics. The statement comes after Özgür Özel made claims regarding the handling of financial crime reports by the Ministry.
