Minor Earthquake Hits Issyk-Kul Region

An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan. The tremors were detected at 8:13 a.m. and the source of the earthquake was pinpointed to be located 25 kilometers southwest of Echkili-Tash village in the Ak-Suu district, 32 kilometers southwest of Ken-Suu village in the Tyup district, and 103 kilometers southwest of Karakol.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or destruction as a result of the earthquake. The Institute of Seismology has been monitoring the situation closely and providing updates on the seismic activity in the region.
