Nine-Year-Old Girl Miraculously Survives Fall from 25th-Floor Home in China
A nine-year-old girl in northern China has captured the attention of social media users after miraculously surviving a fall from her 25th-floor home in Tangshan, Hebei province. The incident, which took place on March 27, has left many in disbelief at the young girl’s resilience and survival.
The girl, whose name has not been disclosed, was alone in her room when she decided to open the window due to feeling hot. Tragically, the window’s structure was loose, causing her to fall and land on a platform 18 floors below. Fortunately, she did not suffer fatal injuries as she did not grab anything to support herself during the fall.
Her mother, surnamed Shen, was at work when the accident occurred and received a call from her husband informing her that their daughter was missing. The family was unaware of the girl’s location until the property management manager of their community called to report that she was lying on the seventh-floor platform.
Despite suffering fractures in her arms, brow ridge, and thoracic vertebra, the girl’s brain remained undamaged. After undergoing several surgeries at Beijing Children’s Hospital, a premier medical facility, she was discharged 10 days later. She is scheduled to return for a follow-up examination at the end of April.
The girl’s miraculous survival has been described as a true miracle by her mother, who believes that her daughter is protected by a higher power. The incident has highlighted the importance of child safety measures and vigilance in high-rise buildings to prevent similar accidents in the future.
