Mirziyoyev Announces Regular Salary, Pension and Allowance Increases

Uzbekistan to Develop Initiatives to Mitigate Effects of Climate Change and Strengthen Sovereignty

Uzbekistan has announced new initiatives to mitigate the negative effects of global climate change, risks related to food security, energy crisis, logistics, and water shortages. The country plans to carry out these programs with partner organizations and countries to further strengthen its sovereignty.

As a social state, Uzbekistan recognizes that there are more than 2,200,000 families in need of social help and receiving assistance from the state. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the social obligations of the state have increased threefold in the updated Constitution. However, putting it into practice requires a lot of work, and an additional 30-40 trillion soums will be necessary to allocate annually from the state budget.

To satisfy the growing demand, Uzbekistan will need to build hundreds of new kindergartens, schools, and hospitals every year. The country will also mobilize new opportunities to raise youth policy, development of education, science, culture, and sports to a higher level and extend the scope of social services to include lonely elderly people, people with disabilities, and those who need special attention.

Furthermore, salaries, pensions, allowances, and scholarships will be regularly increased to improve the welfare of the citizens. Uzbekistan aims to strengthen its sovereignty and ensure a better future for its people by implementing these initiatives.
