MKE Ankaragücü Club and Trabzonspor’s Enis Destan Facing PFDK Referral
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) recently released a statement regarding disciplinary actions taken against two clubs and a football player.
Firstly, MKE ANKARAGÜCÜ Club has been penalized for their “ugly and bad cheering” during the MKE ANKARAGÜCÜ-BEŞİKTAŞ A.Ş. Ziraat Turkey Cup match on April 23, 2024. As a result, the club has been referred to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) in accordance with the Football Disciplinary Instruction. Additionally, the club has been cited for “field events” and “acting against the instructions” in violation of the Sports Equipment Instruction.
Secondly, TRABZONSPOR A.Ş. player ENİS DESTAN has been suspended as a precautionary measure starting from April 25, 2024. This decision was made in response to his “illegal behavior” during the TRABZONSPOR A.Ş.-VAVACARS FATİH KARAGÜMRÜK Ziraat Turkey Cup competition held on April 24, 2024.
It is clear that the TFF is taking a strong stance against any misconduct or violations of the rules within Turkish football. These disciplinary actions serve as a reminder to all clubs and players to conduct themselves with sportsmanship and integrity both on and off the field.
