Mobile Number Auctions Drive Growth in Commodity Exchange Market

The trading platform is expanding its services to include auctions for domain names, following a successful increase in sales of mobile numbers on the commodity exchange.
According to Spot, sales of mobile numbers on UZEX doubled in the first half of the year. A total of 3,244 mobile phone numbers were purchased through the trading system mobilraqam.uzex.uz for a combined total of 13.1 billion UZS, showing a significant increase compared to the same period last year. The most expensive mobile number was sold for 1.07 billion UZS, with the lot’s price increasing more than fivefold during the auction.
In an effort to further expand its services, the commodity exchange signed a memorandum with Uzinfocom in April to organize online auctions with domain names. Plans are underway to develop a website and mechanism for the auctioning of domain names, providing users with a new opportunity to procure valuable online real estate.
The trading platform’s future plans include the introduction of new auction modes for exchange trading, the digitalization of public procurement processes, and the development of mobile applications to enhance user experience. With these initiatives in place, the trading platform aims to continue its growth and provide more opportunities for users to engage in online auctions and trading activities.
