Iranian President Appoints Mohsen Esmaeili as Vice President for Strategic and Parliamentary Affairs
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Mohsen Esmaeili as Vice President for Strategic and Parliamentary Affairs, as reported by the Iranian president’s website. In a decree issued on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian highlighted Esmaeili’s competence, scientific and executive experience as the foundation for his appointment.
President Pezeshkian expressed his hopes that the newly appointed VP will implement sound strategic policies and effectively engage with Iranian legislators to bolster the relationship between the executive and legislative branches of government. Furthermore, he urged Esmaeili to utilize the expertise of senior managers and the extensive capabilities of elites, think tanks, and civil society institutions to monitor significant domestic and international developments in alignment with the Constitution, the 20-Year National Vision Document, and the general policies approved by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Esmaeili has been tasked with overseeing the Center for Strategic Studies and ensuring its elevation to the status of a vice presidency, involving full cooperation from all governmental bodies. This appointment reflects a strategic move by the Iranian government to enhance its operational efficiency and strengthen its ties with the legislative branch under the leadership of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
