Moldova’s Ambassador now accredited in Turkmenistan
Valeriu Chiveri, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Turkmenistan, presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova on June 7, 2023. During the meeting, the head of the parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and expressed the hope for a successful partnership between the two countries. The diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the leadership of Moldova to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people.
The meeting between the two officials included an exchange of views on a variety of topics related to the cooperation between Turkmenistan and Moldova. The Ambassador was informed about the main directions and priorities of the domestic and foreign policies of Turkmenistan. Chiveri also took the opportunity to get acquainted with the structure and multilateral activities of the Turkmen parliament. The two sides discussed the issue of enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, including within the framework of international parliamentary structures.
The friendship and fruitful partnership between Turkmenistan and Moldova are developing both on a bilateral and multilateral basis, primarily in the format of international organizations. The hope is that the appointment of Ambassador Chiveri will help to continue and strengthen this partnership in the future.
