Moscow Authorities Retrieve Nearly 1 Million Rubles for Unpaid Wages of Uzbek Labor Migrants
A group of temporary workers from Uzbekistan in Moscow successfully recovered 950,000 rubles in unpaid wages from the company “Megatron.” The workers, who had filed a complaint about not receiving their monthly wages on time, sought assistance from the Agency for External Labor Migration.
The Center for Handling Appeals and Legal Support for Labor Migrants, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, assisted in the recovery of the unpaid wages for 11 citizens. This successful resolution highlights the importance of migrant workers knowing their rights and seeking support when faced with labor rights violations.
This case serves as a reminder to companies operating in Moscow to uphold labor laws and ensure that all employees, including temporary workers, are paid fairly and on time. The efforts of the Agency for External Labor Migration in supporting migrant workers in this matter are commendable and demonstrate the importance of advocacy and legal support for vulnerable workers.
