Murat Abbas, Director of IMM Culture Inc., Released from Custody
Murat Abbas, the Director of IMM Culture Inc., has been released following an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation, which led to the dismissal of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality President Ekrem Imamoglu and 100 other suspects, includes charges such as being part of a criminal organization, bribery, fraud, and violating the law.
Abbas was released with judicial control measures by the Istanbul Magistrate Criminal Court of Magistrates, under the conditions of “Overseas Exit” and “Not Leaving the House”. The decision to release Abbas took into account the nature of the crime, the potential punishment under the law, and the current evidence status.
It has been reported that Abbas, as the General Manager of IMM Kültür AŞ, cooperated with authorities and provided testimony within the scope of the investigation. The case continues to develop as more information is gathered.
