Following Namangan, Samarkand and Navoi secured the 2nd and 3rd positions with 61.13 and 59.5 points, respectively. The ranking was based on an evaluation of seven key areas: air quality, land use, transportation, water management, waste disposal, sanitation, and energy consumption.

Despite having the worst overall rating, the city of Nurafshon in the Tashkent region was found to have the cleanest air. Samarkand and Urgench ranked 2nd and 3rd in terms of air quality, while Termiz was noted for having the poorest air quality.

The management of water resources, waste disposal, sanitation practices, and energy consumption were also analyzed in the ranking. Cities like Termiz, Andijan, and Namangan were praised for their water management practices, while Nukus excelled in waste collection and disposal. In terms of sanitation, the capital city ranked highest, and Navoi and Jizzakh followed suit.

When it came to energy consumption and carbon emissions, Navoi, Bukhara, and Termez were ranked among the top three cities. However, Nurafshon received a score of 0 points in this category.
