Narin Güran Missing: Forensic Expert Evaluates Bite Mark on Arm for NTV
The search for missing 8-year-old Narin Güran in Turkey has been ongoing for days, with 1710 personnel and volunteers working tirelessly to find her. The Forensic Medicine Institution has stated that they have not been able to determine who the bite mark on Narin’s brother EG’s arm belongs to.
Forensic Medicine Specialist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Alkan provided insights on how bite mark detection is done during a live broadcast on NTV. He emphasized that it is a complex process that requires collecting biological evidence such as saliva and spit, which may not yield results in just 9 days. Alkan also highlighted the importance of obtaining dental and jaw films of the little girl to identify the source of the bite mark.
