National Leader of Turkmenistan meets with Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister
The National Leader of Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, recently met with the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, Akihisa Nagashima. The meeting took place on February 5, 2025, and was filled with discussions aimed at further enhancing the already strong ties between Turkmenistan and Japan.
During the meeting, Nagashima expressed gratitude on behalf of Emperor Naruhito of Japan and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for the warm welcome extended by the National Leader of Turkmen people. In response, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed his best wishes to Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and expressed confidence that the visit of Nagashima to Ashgabat would contribute to strengthening the relations between the two countries. He also shared information about Turkmenistan’s initiative to declare 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and invited Japan to participate in the upcoming International Forum.
