National Turkmen Leader Visits Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, recently visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat to express his condolences following a tragic helicopter crash in Iran.
On May 21, 2024, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Ambassador Ali Mojtaba Ruzbekhani at the embassy and extended words of sympathy and support to the Iranian people. He expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of high-ranking officials, including Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the leader of Iran.
Berdimuhamedov highlighted the strong friendship and brotherhood between Turkmenistan and Iran, emphasizing the importance of supporting each other in times of need. He offered condolences on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people, and prayed for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace.
The Mufti of Turkmenistan also led prayers in memory of the victims, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragic accident. Ambassador Ruzbekhani expressed gratitude on behalf of the Iranian people and government for Berdimuhamedov’s visit and words of support during this difficult time.
