Nearly $19M in Contracts Signed at Belarus-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Baku
Successful Business Forum Sees $18.9 Million in Contracts Between Belarus and Azerbaijan
Baku played host to a pivotal Belarus-Azerbaijan business forum, where contracts valued at $18.9 million were signed. Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shared this news with journalists, highlighting the event’s significance in strengthening economic ties between the two nations.
During the forum, a total of 12 agreements were concluded, including three that were finalized online. Myatlikov noted a strong turnout from Azerbaijani business representatives, many of whom already have established relationships with Belarusian counterparts, while others were engaging for the first time.
As part of ongoing collaboration, meetings are set for the second day of the Belarusian business delegation’s visit. "We are eager to host our partners from Azerbaijan at the Belagro exhibition in Minsk in June, and they have confirmed their attendance. Additionally, we will be participating in Caspian Agro from May 13-16, with 17 Belarusian enterprises set to showcase their innovations in Baku," Myatlikov stated.
Among the significant contracts signed during the forum, Mostovdrev and Sosna agreed to supply plywood, laminated flooring, and MDF boards. Meanwhile, Kamvol entered into agreements with Smart Style MMC and Baku Sewing House for fabric supplies, while Spartak secured a contract with AZNUR for confectionery products.
An intention contract was also signed between Borkof-Agro and Stapri-Azerbaijan for the supply of rubber boards, and a cooperation agreement was established between the LEMT science and technology center at BelOMO Holding Company and the National Aviation Academy of AZAL.
Moreover, Belshina, Azertekhnika, and Azbelshin signed a memorandum of cooperation during the forum, which aims to facilitate the supply of tire products to the region in 2025-2026.
The successful outcome of this business forum marks a significant step toward enhancing trade relations and fostering further collaboration between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
