Neighbor Murder Plot: Namangan Man Hires Assassin
A resident of Turakurgan district in the Namangan region has been arrested after attempting to hire an assassin to kill his neighbor. The suspect promised to pay $1,000 to a person who later informed the internal affairs officers about the offer. The motive behind the crime was suspected infidelity between the suspect’s neighbor and his wife.
The person who received the offer immediately reported it to the internal affairs staff, seeking legal action against the customer. The internal affairs officers conducted an operation where they staged a beating of the intended victim and sent a photo of him to the suspect. The suspect was then observed arriving at the scene with a knife and 11,400,000 soums, prepared to carry out the crime. However, the operatives intervened, arresting the suspect who was wearing medical gloves and attempting to attack the victim.
The evidence supporting the alleged infidelity that prompted the suspect to hire an assassin has not been confirmed at this time.
The suspect was charged with a criminal offense under Part 1, Article 25-97 of the Criminal Code. On the same day, a precautionary measure in the form of detention was applied, ensuring the suspect remains in custody while awaiting further legal proceedings.
