An Elevator System in Turkey Increases Value of Residences
In Hopa, a district in Turkey, a 50-meter elevator system has been in place for 8 years, connecting the district center to the Kuledibi and Sundura neighborhoods. This initiative was developed by the municipality to shorten pedestrian transportation and has had a significant impact on the community.
The elevator, which can accommodate 6 people and reaches a height of 10-storey apartment buildings, has made it convenient for residents to access their homes quickly. Additionally, tourists visiting the district are drawn to the elevator system, as it offers a stunning view of the coast and the sea from the viewpoint at the summit.
Emine Aydin, a frequent user of the elevator, expressed her gratitude for the convenience it has brought to the community. She mentioned, “Whoever did it, God bless you. When there was no elevator, we were tortured. Our homes gained value with the elevator. Very pleased. The value of our apartments has doubled.”
Similarly, Hasan Cavit Kural, an 81-year-old resident, also praised the elevator system for its utility. He stated, “Very useful for me. Half a man, complement me. May Allah be pleased with the cause. Thanks to the elevator, our homes were valued.”
Another resident, Osman Ozsef, highlighted the impact of the elevator on the local housing market. He explained, “Thanks to this elevator, people can shop and reach their homes in 5 minutes. This elevator increased the value of these houses.”
Overall, the elevator system in Hopa has not only improved the daily lives of residents but also boosted the value of residences in the area. It serves as a perfect example of how infrastructure projects can enhance both convenience and property values in a community.
