New 750-Student School Set to Be Constructed in Kara-Balta

Plans for a New School Building in Kara-Balta
Bishkek, 03 May 2025 – The Chui Regional Capital Construction Department has announced plans to construct an additional building accommodating 750 students at School No. 1 in Kara-Balta. This initiative comes in response to growing demands for educational facilities in the region, with an allocation of 285.6 million soms from the state procurement budget.
The call for applications for the construction project will remain open until May 22, allowing contractors to submit their bids.
The Ministry of Education highlights a pressing issue, revealing that 577 municipal and state schools across the country are currently short of more than 163,000 student places. This shortage is particularly acute in the two major cities of Bishkek and Osh, as well as in the Jalal-Abad and Chui regions.
This new building is expected to help alleviate some of the overcrowding in local schools, contributing significantly to the educational infrastructure of Kara-Balta and enhancing learning opportunities for its youth.
