China Opens Visa Center in Uzbekistan’s Capital
In a recent announcement by the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, it was revealed that the Chinese visa center has now been opened in the capital city, Tashkent. This means that starting from May 16, 2023, applicants who are applying for a Chinese visa, including Hong Kong visas, with a passport of Uzbekistan or any other country, must apply to the visa center.
Prior to the visa application, applicants must fill out the online visa application form through the website of the visa center. Applications that have not been registered online will not be accepted, so applicants must ensure they complete the online registration before submitting their application.
Applicants must also pay the visa fee and the expedited processing fee on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, as well as pay the service fee charged by the Visa Application Center.
It is important to note that the visa center is not responsible for the visa application process. The staff of the consular department of the embassy is responsible for determining the issuance of a visa, including the duration of the visa, the length of stay, and the frequency of entries into China, depending on the specific situation of the applicant. Additionally, consular officers may require additional supporting documents from the applicant or even conduct an interview with the applicant before making a final decision.
With the opening of the Chinese visa center in Uzbekistan, it is expected that visa application processes will be made more convenient and accessible, especially for those who are planning to travel to China for business or leisure purposes.
