New Friendship Park to Unite Kyrgyzstan and Russia in Jalal-Abad

A new Park of Friendship between the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia is set to open in Jalal-Abad, as announced by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, during a joint meeting of the governments of the two countries in Moscow.

The grand opening of the park is scheduled for October 26, with a high-ranking delegation from the Russian side expected to attend the event. Japarov emphasized the importance of cultural ties in strengthening the friendship and brotherhood between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Construction of the park began in October 2023, with funding provided by the Government of the Russian Federation. Spanning over 8 hectares, the park will feature public and sports areas, a fountain, stands, a bike path, a playground, art installations, and more. The lush green space will be home to over 3,000 trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants.

The Park of Friendship aims to serve as a symbol of the strong bond between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
