Shukhrat Rizayev, the former deputy director of the Cinematography Agency, has been appointed as the new director of the agency. He will be taking over the position from Firdavs Abdukhalikov, who has been appointed as the director of the Center for Islamic Civilization.

Rizayev, who has been working at the agency since 2017, has an extensive background in the field of culture and arts. Born in Tashkent on July 10, 1958, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology at the National University of Uzbekistan.
