HSK decision reshapes judicial circles in Turkey
A recent decision by the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) published in the Official Gazette has led to significant changes in the judicial circles in Turkey. The Sakarya Regional Court of Justice Court of Bartın and Zonguldak has been removed from the judicial circle and included in the judicial circle of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice.
This decision has reshaped the judicial environment of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice, expanding its jurisdiction to cover Ankara, Bartin, Cankiri, Eskisehir, Karabuk, Kastamonu, Kirikkale, Kirsehir, and Zonguldak provinces. The civilian boundaries of these provinces have been redefined to fall under the jurisdiction of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice.
While these changes have brought about a restructuring of the judicial system in the country, other regional judicial courts will continue to operate as before. The HSK decision aims to streamline and optimize the functioning of the judiciary in Turkey.
In another development, the country has witnessed the largest drug operation in history, with a total of 635 detentions made. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement authorities to combat drug trafficking and organized crime in Turkey.
Overall, the recent HSK decision and the significant drug operation underscore the importance of a strong and efficient judicial system in upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice for all citizens.
