Turkmenistan Takes Steps to Strengthen Civil Aviation Security
The President of Turkmenistan has taken a significant step in enhancing civil aviation security in the country. A resolution has been signed to create an interdepartmental commission on civil aviation security, along with the approval of the commission’s composition and its regulations.
The decision is of utmost importance as it aims to prevent any illegal interference in the activities of Turkmenistan’s civil aviation sector while coordinating actions to ensure its security. The news release from the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company highlighted the importance of this resolution.
During a government meeting on Friday, December 22, Mammetkhan Chakyev, the Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, shared that the work undertaken to ensure a high level of safety, stability, and efficiency of flights was in alignment with the Air Code of Turkmenistan, the Law “On Vehicle Safety,” and the standards set by the International Organization of Civil Aviation (ICAO).
