New Investment Laws and Working Group Formed in Kyrgyzstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov Forms Expert Group to Improve Investment Legislation
Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, recently signed an order to establish an expert working group with the goal of enhancing the country’s legislation pertaining to the attraction of investments, including foreign investments. This initiative is aimed at streamlining the regulatory framework and eliminating redundant control functions of state bodies.
The legislation in areas such as tourism development, aviation, and the license and permit system will be thoroughly examined by the expert-working group. The President’s Executive Office, ministries and departments, Manas International Airport, Bishkek Free Economic Zone, and the International Business Council are among the entities represented in the expert-working group.
The group has been given a deadline of November 1, 2024, to complete its work and submit the relevant normative legal acts to the presidential office. This move is expected to contribute to a more favorable investment climate in Kyrgyzstan and further encourage economic growth in the country.
