New MEB Curriculum 2024: Classes Covered and Integration Lesson Status
The recent debate on whether class hours will be shortened in schools has brought about some clarity. Education Minister Tekin addressed the issue by pointing out the density of the current curriculum. Instead of increasing weekly lesson hours to cover all the material, they have opted to simplify the subjects.
Minister of National Education confirmed that there will be no change in class hours, but rather a simplification of the subjects. He highlighted that there has been a 35 percent dilution in the curriculum, allowing students to grasp the material more effectively.
Therefore, based on this information, it can be concluded that class hours in schools will not be shortened. This decision aims to strike a balance between covering the necessary material and ensuring that students have a comprehensive understanding of the subjects.
