New Movies to Hit Theaters This Week
Film enthusiasts are in for a treat this week as several new movies are set to hit the big screen. Leading the pack is “Innocent,” a romantic comedy directed by Louis Garrel, starring Roschdy Zem and Anouk Grinberg. The film tells the story of a man willing to risk everything to protect his mother after finding out that she plans to marry a prison inmate.
“Belle and Sebastian: My Brave Friend” by Pierre Core is also set to premiere this week. The film focuses on the struggles of a boy born and raised in the French Alps during World War II. The movie stars Robinson Mensah Rouanet, Michele Laroque, Alice David, Caroline Anglade, Syrus Shahidi, Aurelien Recoing, and Lou Lambrecht.
“Smell,” a drama-heavy film directed by Barış Gördağ and Yasin Çetin, has also been highly anticipated. Nergis Öztürk, Yunus Emre Yıldırımer, and Mehlika Buğlem Kılıç play the leading roles, while the screenplay was written by Hazel Sevim Ünsal. The movie follows the story of a philosophy professor who has never experienced the love that she so desires from her family.

Meanwhile, “The Cursed Blood,” starring Michelle Monaghan, Danika Frederick, and Skeet Ulrich, and directed by Brad Anderson, tells the tale of a mother fighting to save her son from supernatural beings.
Animation fanatics are also in for a treat with Ayako Kouno’s “Sword Art Online the Movie: Progressive-Scherzo of Deep Night” and Will Ashurst’s movie adaptation of “The Joyful Farm: The Train Leaves!” Both movies aim to attract animation lovers to the theaters.
