A new retro-themed hotel is set to open in Debrecen, Hungary, bringing the nostalgic vibes of the 1960s and 1970s to the city. The hotel, developed by Dryvit Profi Ltd., will offer 114 rooms and is already fully booked for the next four and a half years, showcasing the high demand for this unique accommodation option.
The project involves converting a former industrial building from the 1950s, previously part of the Gördülőcsapágy (Göcs) factory, into a three-star hotel. The new establishment, located on Kassai Road, is scheduled to open its doors in January 2025. This transformation is part of a larger effort to address the increasing demand for accommodation in Debrecen, particularly driven by developments like the new BMW plant in the area.
In a recent interview, Bana László, the managing director of Dryvit Profi Ltd., shared that the company has been working on various accommodation projects to cater to the growing business traffic in Debrecen. Their portfolio includes the Stay Apartment complex with 184 rooms and the latest addition, the three-star Stay-Loft on Kassai Road.
The Stay-Loft will be furnished in retro style, reflecting the design trends of the 1960s and 1970s to provide guests with a nostalgic experience. The vintage décor can be seen in preview videos, offering a glimpse of what visitors can expect. This new retro-themed hotel aims to bring a unique charm to Debrecen’s hospitality scene while meeting the city’s increasing business demand.
