Jazeera Airways to Operate Flights from Kuwait to Fergana
Jazeera Airways has announced that it will begin operating flights from Kuwait to Fergana starting in December. The flights will be operated three times a week initially, with plans to increase frequency to daily from 2024. The airline will be using medium-haul Airbus A320neo aircraft with a configuration of 168 seats for the route.
The press service of the Fergana regional administration has confirmed the new flight operations, with Jazeera Airways aiming to expand its services to include flights from Fergana to Egypt, Turkey, and European countries.
The airline has recognized the potential of Fergana International Airport to become a transit transport hub between Europe and Asia. Jazeera Airways sees the new route as an opportunity to facilitate travel and trade between the two regions.
This expansion marks Fergana as the fourth Uzbek city where Jazeera Airways operates flights. The airline previously launched regular flights between Kuwait and Tashkent in July 2021, followed by flights to Namangan from October 2022. In March this year, Jazeera Airways also began offering direct flights to Samarkand.
With the addition of the new Kuwait-Fergana route, the airline aims to further enhance its connectivity and reach in the region. Travelers and authorities alike are looking forward to the new flight operations and the potential benefits it will bring to Fergana and the surrounding areas.
