New Sports Facility Announced for Famagusta Turkish Maarif College

Famagusta Turkish Maarif College to Receive New Sports Facility with EU Funding
In response to a request made by Famagusta Municipality and with the approval of the EU Coordination Center, plans are underway to build a new “sports/volleyball facility” at Famagusta Turkish Maarif College. The project will be funded by the Assistance Program for the Turkish Cypriot Community.
The EU Information Center has announced that construction of the facility is scheduled to commence in the spring of this year, with the aim of completing it before the start of summer.
The selection of the facility’s location and coordination with the school were carried out in collaboration with Famagusta Municipality and the EU Coordination Center. Additionally, input was gathered from the relatives of students, teachers, and parents who tragically lost their lives in a recent earthquake.
The development of this new sports facility represents a significant investment in the school’s athletic and recreational infrastructure, providing students and the broader community with access to modern sporting amenities. This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment to enhancing educational and extracurricular opportunities for the local community.
