Aga Khan Foundation Provides Equipment and Materials to Schools in Kyrgyzstan

The Aga Khan Foundation, as part of the Schools 2030 program, has recently delivered interactive panels, laptops, printers, projectors, and educational materials to 70 pilot educational institutions and 30 kindergartens in Kyrgyzstan. The total value of the equipment and materials handed over amounts to 5.5 million soms, according to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan.

These resources are intended to support the successful implementation of innovative solutions developed by teachers and students in adapting to climate change. In addition to the recent delivery, from 2021 to 2023, pilot schools participating in the program received modern equipment, furniture, and books totaling 35 million soms.

Furthermore, a Global Forum is scheduled to take place in June as part of the Schools 2030 program, with over 200 representatives from 36 countries expected to attend. Schools 2030 is a ten-year initiative that covers 1,000 preschool and general education institutions in 10 different countries. The program aims to research and share best practices in education to enhance children’s knowledge, skills, worldview, and values.

The ongoing support from the Aga Khan Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Science is crucial for promoting innovative teaching methods and preparing students for the challenges of the future.
