New Tomography Device Arrives in Lefke
Minister of Health provides updates on medical equipment and services in hospitals
The Minister of Health, Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek, recently spoke on a program in which he addressed various aspects of the healthcare system in the country. One of the major highlights was the procurement of advanced medical devices for hospitals to improve the quality of healthcare services and treatment efficiency.
Minister Dinçyürek emphasized the importance of keeping up with technological advancements in order to provide better care to patients. He mentioned that the ministry has purchased all the necessary devices for hospitals and will continue to do so. This initiative aims to replace old, broken, or missing medical equipment with new, technologically advanced devices.
In his address, the Minister also highlighted specific developments in various hospitals, such as the installation of tomography devices in Famagusta State Hospital and Lefke Cengiz Topel Hospital. He also mentioned the initiation of eye surgeries in Famagusta, which was made possible through the procurement of essential medical devices.
Furthermore, Minister Dinçyürek discussed ongoing projects for the establishment of an angiography center, cardiovascular surgery, and intensive care units at Famagusta State Hospital. He also mentioned the use of special chips and systems by neurosurgeons at Burhan Nalbantoğlu Hospital for surgeries on Parkinson’s patients.
The Minister assured that the necessary resources are being allocated to meet these healthcare needs and that efforts are being made to strengthen health centers and hospitals through new tenders and purchases.
Addressing concerns about ambulance services, Minister Dinçyürek revealed that the ministry is in the process of conducting new tenders to procure additional ambulances. He emphasized the urgency of expediting these processes to ensure timely results.
Finally, the Minister addressed the issue of sudden deaths and clarified the protocols in place for determining the cause of death and conducting autopsies when necessary. He emphasized that no evidence supports the speculation that recent sudden deaths were linked to Covid-19 vaccines.
The updates provided by Minister Dinçyürek shed light on the proactive measures being taken to enhance healthcare services and facilities in the country, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
