New Turkish Drones: AKINCI, AKSUNGUR, Bayraktar TB2, KARGU, and ŞAHİN

Kyrgyzstan Boosts Defense Capabilities with Turkish UCAVs
The Turkish defense and aerospace industry continues to impress with its export success, as Kyrgyzstan strengthens its defense capabilities by acquiring advanced unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). In addition to previously procuring Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs, Kyrgyzstan recently received AKINCI and AKSUNGUR UCAVs from Turkey. These state-of-the-art drones were demonstrated and utilized in a tactical exercise held at the Edelveys exercise area in the Issyk-Kul Region of the country.
The exercise was a significant event, with President Sadır Djaparov in attendance. The Edelveys exercise area showcased a range of military equipment, including AKSUNGUR and AKINCI UAVs, engineering and electronic warfare equipment, armored vehicles, weapons, and domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the Kyrgyz Border Guard Services. President Djaparov was briefed on the technical features and firepower of the AKINCI and AKSUNGUR UCAVs.
During his speech, President Djaparov expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition of Bayraktar TB2, AKINCI, and AKSUNGUR UCAVs. He emphasized that it was the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan that such modern weapons and military equipment were acquired directly from the state budget for the Armed Forces and Border Security Service.
The exercise and the deployment of Turkish defense industry products in Kyrgyzstan were captured in special images shared by SavunmaSanayiST.com on Twitter. The images showcased the utilization of additional Turkish defense products such as KARGU Strike UAV, İHTAR Anti-Drone System, ŞAHİN 40mm Physical Destruction System, MAM-L, and MAM-T.
Furthermore, in recognition of his contribution to the strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities, the Dank State Award was presented to Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar, by President Djaparov.
Kyrgyzstan’s acquisition of AKINCI, AKSUNGUR, and Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs simultaneously from Turkey reflects the country’s commitment to modernize its defense capabilities. In addition to the UCAVs, the Kyrgyz Army also added MAM-L and MAM-T ammunition to its inventory.
This collaboration between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan in the defense sector marks a significant milestone for both countries. Kyrgyzstan becomes the first nation to procure AKINCI, AKSUNGUR, and Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs from Turkey simultaneously, further solidifying the strategic partnership between the two nations.
