Turkey’s Unemployment Rate Drops in August 2024
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released the latest labor force statistics for the month of August, showing a positive trend in unemployment figures.
According to the Household Labor Force Survey, the number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and over has decreased by 84 thousand people compared to the previous month, reaching a total of 3 million 72 thousand people.
The unemployment rate has also shown improvement, dropping by 0.1 point to 8.6 percent. The unemployment rate was reported to be 7 percent for men and 11.7 percent for women.
These statistics indicate a positive development in the labor market, with a decrease in the number of unemployed individuals and a lower unemployment rate overall.
