New Decisions Made to Support Urban Transformation in Istanbul
A new Presidential decision has been published in the Official Gazette to provide support for urban transformation projects in Istanbul. The decision outlines several forms of financial assistance for individuals and businesses undergoing urban transformation in the city.
Under the new decision, beneficiaries of urban transformation projects will be eligible to receive a grant of 700 thousand TL, as well as a loan of 700 thousand TL. In addition, tenants whose houses are undergoing urban transformation will receive 100 thousand TL in unpaid rent support.
Furthermore, workplaces undergoing transformation will be able to access a grant of up to 350 thousand TL, as well as a loan of up to 350 thousand TL, to aid in the process.
This new decision highlights the government’s commitment to supporting urban transformation in Istanbul and providing assistance to those affected by such projects. Minister Özhaseki has also emphasized the importance of urban transformation and the need for continued support in this area.
