New Veterinary Clinic Opens in Ala-Buka District

Bishkek – The Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Nurlanbek Shakiev, recently attended the opening of a veterinary clinic in Airy-Tam village, located in the Ala-Buka district of Jalal-Abad region. The clinic, which cost 4.1 million soms to build, was funded in part by a donation of 200,000 soms from the Speaker’s reserve fund. The project was implemented through ARIS, a development program.
In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Nurlanbek Shakiev emphasized the importance of veterinary medicine in Kyrgyzstan, where a significant portion of the population is involved in livestock breeding. He highlighted the need to prioritize animal health and disease prevention in order to protect both animals and the health of citizens.
The Speaker expressed confidence that the new veterinary clinic will play a crucial role in improving the overall well-being of the community. As he aptly pointed out, “If a doctor treats a person, then a veterinarian treats all mankind.”
The establishment of the veterinary clinic in Airy-Tam village underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the agriculture sector and promoting animal health in Kyrgyzstan. It is hoped that the clinic will not only address animal diseases but also contribute to enhancing the overall health and welfare of the local population.
