Disaster Houses Completed in Adana: 357 Homes Built in Ceyhan
In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes that struck Adana on February 6, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change wasted no time in implementing plans for permanent housing solutions. One of the areas that benefitted from this initiative was the Ceyhan district, where all permanent houses have now been completed.
Mithatpaşa neighborhood saw the construction of 357 earthquake-resistant homes in three stages, which have now been finished and handed over to their rightful owners. Minister Murat Kurum made the announcement of the completion of these disaster residences through a virtual media account.
The total number of earthquake-insured housing units in the region has now exceeded 11.3 million, reflecting the government’s commitment to providing safe and secure housing for those affected by natural disasters. The completion of these homes in Ceyhan marks a significant milestone in the recovery efforts following the tragic events of February 6.
As the residents of Ceyhan settle into their new homes, it is hoped that these buildings will not only provide shelter but also a sense of security and stability in the face of future challenges. The completion of these disaster houses is a testament to the resilience and determination of the community in the face of adversity.
