Nightmare Doctor Faces 943 Years and 9 Months in Prison
A shocking case of child abuse by a doctor has come to light, with the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Domestic and Crimes Against Women Investigation Bureau preparing an indictment for the suspect, Süleyman Salih Zoroğlu. The indictment reveals a disturbing pattern of abuse, with 21 victim children, aged between 7 and 18, being diagnosed with ‘Multiple Personality Disorder’, administered ‘ketamine’ during the sessions, and being asked sexual questions. The suspect is also accused of making threatening attempts, including financial demands by accusing family members of abuse.
The expert reports included in the indictment highlight the use of ketamine, a painkiller and anesthetic substance, which is not licensed for use in mental illness in children and adolescents. The suspect’s closed-ended questions directed at victim children, practices that violate patient privacy, and hostile statements towards parents were also noted as being against basic professional and ethical principles.
The general evaluation in the indictment indicates that the diagnostic method used by the suspect is unique, and the process that followed his diagnosis method was completely intertwined with illegalities. The suspect’s claim of having special abilities given by God to understand immediately by looking with a spiritual eye raises serious ethical and professional concerns.
The indictment includes charges of ‘Trafficking or Providing Drugs or Stimulants’, ‘Torment’, ‘Slander’, ‘Deprivation of Liberty’, ‘Blackmail’, ‘Encouraging the Use of Drugs’, ‘Illegal Seizure of Personal Data’, ‘Violating the Privacy of Private Life’, with a total prison sentence of 943 years and 9 months requested for the suspect. Various prison sentences were also requested for other suspects involved in the case.
The indictment has been accepted, and the suspects will appear before the judge at Bakırköy High Criminal Court in the coming days. This case is a tragic reminder of the importance of protecting children from abuse and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions.
