Nilperi Şahinkaya stars in a new hit series despite denying Forbidden Apple accusations
Turkish actress Nilperi Şahinkaya has denied rumors that she will be featured in the cast of the Turkish television series Forbidden Apple. Instead, she announced that she will be starring in a new TRT Digital series called Derin Mor, alongside Deniz Celiloğlu. The new series centers on the story of Arif and his daughter Ela, who try to escape from a city in chaos due to an explosion in the sun. The journey brings Arif back to life, as he has been burdened by modern life. Şahinkaya described the series as “beautiful and dystopian” and looks forward to its release. The series started airing on TRT’s digital platform, Tabi, on May 7. Şahinkaya has enjoyed a successful acting career since 2009, starring in various television series including Deniz Yıldızı, Such a Passing Time, Cherry Season, and Forbidden Apple. She has also appeared in multiple digital projects. Celiloğlu, another leading actor in Derin Mor, has been in the acting industry since 2010 and has recently focused on cinema and digital projects.
