“No Change in Election Results, Balance Maintained – Current News Report from Milliyet”

Black Sea Region Election Results Revealed

The election results in the Black Sea region have been announced. The AK Party, known as the dominant political party in the area, retains its leadership despite a decrease in its voting rates. Meanwhile, the CHP, which increased its votes, could not make any significant changes in the number of seats. The MHP party won the election by increasing its number of deputies from 4 to 7.

Out of the 18 provinces in the region, 41 of the 66 deputies were won by the AK Party, with 18 taken by the CHP. In the previous election in 2018, the AK Party held 43 deputies, and they only lost two deputies in this election. The CHP, however, was only able to increase its number of deputies from 17 to 18.

In Trabzon, the AK Party won four of six deputies, but in this election, they lost seven percent of the votes, ending up with 49.45 percent of the votes. The CHP increased its vote rate from 15 percent to 17.9 percent, while the MHP’s votes fell from 13.7 percent to 11.7 percent. Despite this change, the distribution of deputies remained the same in Trabzon with the AK Party retaining four deputies, and the CHP and IYI Party retaining a single deputy each.

The AK Party, which has won three deputies in Rize, the home city of President Erdogan, failed this time and lost ten percent of the votes. In Ordu, which has six deputies, the AK Party increased its number of deputies by one. Similarly, the results in Samsun, Tokat, Kastamonu, and Sinop showed no change in the distribution of parliamentary seats.

Karabük, where Cem Şahin, son of former Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Şahin, competed, saw a change in voting habits, but the AK Party retained its two seats. In Düzce, although the AK Party lost votes, they still retained their leadership position. Two of the three deputies in Düzce were taken by the AK Party, and the third was won by the CHP. Meanwhile, the MHP lost a seat in the area.

The CHP was able to retain their seats in the Black Sea region. In the provinces where they had joint lists with the İYİ Party, they managed to secure one seat each.

Overall, although voting rates changed in the region, the number of parliamentary seats remained relatively stable. The MHP party was the only party to increase its number of deputies this election.
