Nodir Ganiev Becomes Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to France
Uzbekistan Appoints New Ambassador to France
The capital of France has welcomed a new face as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Nodir Ganiev, the newly appointed ambassador, has recently taken up his post in Paris, as reported by Dunyo IA.
Before his assignment to France, Ganiev previously served in Sweden as Uzbekistan’s first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Starting from October 2023, he represented Uzbekistan’s interests in the Scandinavian country after initially serving as Acting Chargé d’Affaires.
Replacing Sardor Rustambayev, who led the Uzbek embassy in Paris from 2018 to 2023, Ganiev is now tasked with strengthening the diplomatic ties between Uzbekistan and France. Rustambayev, on the other hand, has been reassigned to serve as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to India since January of this year.
With a background in Philology and Oriental Studies from Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), the 52-year-old diplomat brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Nodir Ganiev has been a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1994, serving in various capacities within the central apparatus and in Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad.
As Uzbekistan looks to expand its presence on the global stage, Ambassador Ganiev’s appointment in France signals a continued commitment to strengthening international relations and promoting cooperation between nations.
