Numan Kurtulmuş discusses the competitive nature of politics on CNN Türk.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş has strongly condemned recent attacks on politicians, stating that politics is a field of competition, not enmity. Speaking on CNN Türk’s Neutral Zone program with Ahmet Hakan, Kurtulmuş also emphasized the importance of following the rules of the election process, and called on everyone to be vigilant against provocations. He praised the recent AK Party rally in Istanbul, which attracted 1.7 million people according to police records, and said it was a show of the party’s strength. Kurtulmuş also highlighted the government’s response to the recent earthquake as a priority, and noted that Turkish citizens have a feeling that the government is working hard to heal their wounds. He criticized the use of tape operations in politics and called on the CHP to say something to the HDP, as they both know that it is not possible for the other side to be in the race without HDP’s vote.
