Kyrgyz Greco-Roman Wrestler Amantur Ismailov Falls Short of Olympic Medal in Paris

In a disappointing turn of events, Kyrgyz wrestler Amantur Ismailov was unable to reach the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Paris. According to the Olympic Games website, Ismailov faced a tough defeat in the quarterfinals in the 67-kilogram weight category, losing to Parviz Nasibov from Ukraine with a close score of 6:7.
Despite this setback, Ismailov had a strong showing in the earlier round, defeating Ramaz Zoidze from Georgia with a dominant score of 12:1 in the 1/8 finals. The Kyrgyz wrestling team will now turn to Akzhol Makhmudov and Uzur Dzhuzupbekov as they continue to fight for bronze on August 7.
