Oman Air Granted Permission to Operate Flights on Muscat-Tashkent Route
Oman Air has received approval to operate regular flights on the Muscat-Tashkent-Muscat route, according to reports. The Uzbekistan Aviation Agency officially issued the Operating Permit to Oman Air on April 2, allowing the airline to conduct flights between the two cities.
The decision to grant Oman Air permission to operate on this route was made in accordance with an intergovernmental agreement between Uzbekistan and Oman regarding air travel. It has been announced that the flights on the Muscat-Tashkent route will be serviced using Boeing 737 aircraft.
This news comes after Oman introduced a visa-free regime for Uzbek citizens for stays of up to 14 days starting from June 1, 2024. This development is expected to further enhance travel and connectivity between the two countries.
