AK Party Central Executive Board (MYK) Convenes to Discuss Key Issues
The AK Party Central Executive Board (MYK) recently held a meeting at the AK Party Headquarters, starting at 14.00. Following the meeting, Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik addressed the media and shared important updates on various topics.
Expressing strong condemnation of Israel’s attacks on Palestine, Çelik emphasized that no power can halt the genocidal policy of the Netanyahu government. He highlighted the global outcry against the Israeli aggression and stated that the issue has evolved into a battle between those advocating for humanity and those promoting a genocide mentality. The Party Spokesperson vowed to stand firm against the genocide mindset and continue to support the people of Gaza.
Regarding President Recep Erdoğan’s recent visit to Iraq after a 12-year hiatus, Çelik described the discussions as comprehensive and highlighted the signing of numerous agreements during the visit. He underscored the significance of fostering strong ties with Iraq amid regional tensions and instability.
Touching on the ongoing discussions about a new constitution in Turkey, Çelik stressed the importance of respecting the current Presidential Government System, which was approved by the citizens. He called for an end to the portrayal of the parliamentary system and the Presidential Government System as a rivalry and emphasized the need for a modern civilian constitution that addresses any shortcomings.
In a show of support for economic management, the Party Spokesperson voiced full backing for Mehmet Şimşek and his team, affirming their support for their policies. Additionally, he assured that the appointment of teachers is a priority and will be announced soon.
Responding to İmamoğlu’s statement on Hamas, Çelik criticized the characterization of Hamas as a terrorist organization, labeling it as incorrect. He also commented on the recent meeting between President Erdoğan and Bahçeli, highlighting ongoing consultations on domestic and foreign policy issues.
