According to reports from UAV, an incident occurred at Beşiktaş Pier on the evening of July 1, 2023. Two unidentified individuals allegedly opened fire on a 17-year-old named KA, who was sitting on the pier with his friends on a motorcycle, before fleeing the scene.
KA was hit by three bullets and was immediately transported to the hospital by medical teams who arrived at the scene. Police and night watchmen cordoned off the area and conducted an investigation. Crime Scene Investigation teams were also present to gather evidence.
Efe E., a friend of KA who witnessed the attack, provided a harrowing account of the incident. He stated, “We were standing there with our friends when two individuals approached us on motorcycles. They asked if we were affiliated with a certain group and then attacked us. My friend was shot and injured, causing us to fear for our lives. Fortunately, the police arrived shortly after the incident. The attackers were wearing helmets, and we have no previous knowledge of them. KA sustained injuries to his hip, foot, and kneecap from the three bullets. One bullet passed through his body, while the other two remain lodged. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving first aid. Thankfully, his condition is stable and not critical.”
The motive behind the attack has yet to be determined, and the police have launched an investigation. Beşiktaş Pier is a popular spot in Istanbul, known for its lively atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Bosphorus. The incident has left the community shocked and concerned about their safety.
