Online Registration for Undergraduate Courses Begins for the 2023/2024 Academic Year
The My.gov.uz portal has recently launched online registration for undergraduate courses at higher educational institutions without the need for personal visits, paper documents, or long queues. This new process aims to streamline the application process and make it more convenient for applicants.
To register, applicants simply need to complete the phone number authorization, enter their passport data, address of permanent residence, and the educational institution they graduated from. Additionally, if applicants have any benefits or possess a national or international certificate in a foreign language, they must upload the relevant information.
However, the selection of the study direction will only be possible after the approval of admission parameters distribution by language of instruction for the upcoming academic year.
As part of this online registration, applicants are required to pay a fee of 50% of the base calculating amount, which is 165,000 soums, to participate in the tests. However, certain categories of applicants are exempted from this payment, including those who have graduated from educational institutions in the same academic year they are taking the test, individuals with disabilities in groups I, II, and III, individuals and their children registered in the information system of the Unified Register of Social Protection, youth included in the “Register of Youth,” and individuals on full state support.
It is important to note that the registration period will continue until July 20, giving applicants the opportunity to make changes to their data until the last day. Furthermore, applicants who possess a national or international certificate in a foreign language will be able to include information about these certificates during the registration process.
The introduction of online registration through the My.gov.uz portal is expected to simplify the application process for undergraduate courses and reduce the administrative burden on both applicants and higher educational institutions. It will also contribute to a more efficient and transparent admissions process for the 2023/2024 academic year.
