
Only 6% of College Director Candidates Pass Test

The Ministry of Education and Science in Bishkek recently reported that the next round of testing for the positions of heads of educational institutions of primary and secondary vocational education has been completed. A total of 153 candidates participated in the testing, with nine individuals successfully passing the test.
This testing process is conducted by the National Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education and Information Technologies, in accordance with a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to Article 22 of the Law on Education, heads of state and municipal educational organizations implementing programs of primary and secondary vocational education are appointed on a competitive basis.
In a previous round of testing that took place in October, 138 individuals participated, with five people scoring above the threshold score. The competitive nature of the testing process highlights the importance placed on selecting qualified and capable leaders for educational institutions.
