
Opening of Kazan Halal Market: A Global Fair

The international fair Kazan Halal Market has opened in the Kazan agro-industrial park as part of the forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”. According to the Tatar-inform news agency, the fair will run until May 19, offering a variety of products from Russian and foreign manufacturers.
Approximately 70 companies are participating in the Kazan Halal Market, showcasing their products from countries such as Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Iran, and Sri Lanka. From dried fruits and souvenirs to confectionery, sweets, and soft drinks, there is a wide range of items available for purchase.
Visitors to the fair can also find delicacies, sausages, canned food, honey, berries, medicinal herbs, and various jams. Additionally, national clothes, prayer rugs, rosary beads made of natural stone, and other handicrafts are on display for those interested in cultural items.
Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, highlighted the importance of such halal fairs in establishing new trade ties and supporting over 100 producers of food products according to the Halal standard in Tatarstan alone.
