Operation ÇENGEL-11: Over 40,000 Liters of Fake Alcohol Seized in 81 Provinces
Minister Yerlikaya Commends Successful Operations Against Counterfeit Alcohol
Minister Yerlikaya recently shared a post highlighting the success of the “ÇENGEL” operations against counterfeit alcohol in all 81 provinces of Turkey. The Minister emphasized the government’s determination to continue these operations to protect the health and safety of citizens.
In the latest “ÇENGEL-11” operations led by the Gendarmerie over the past 10 days, a significant amount of fake alcohol and ethyl alcohol totaling 40,388 liters were confiscated. Additionally, 85 suspects involved in the production of counterfeit alcohol were apprehended.
The ongoing efforts to combat the production of counterfeit alcohol are vital in safeguarding the well-being of the public. Under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Gendarmerie General Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, the Provincial Gendarmerie Commands have been actively conducting investigations and carrying out targeted operations like “ÇENGEL-11”.
Minister Yerlikaya extended his congratulations to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for effectively coordinating the operations and the Gendarmerie for their brave and successful execution of the missions.
