Orphans in Mailuu-Suu Receive Apartments
Three Orphans Given Municipal Apartments in Mailuu-Suu Town, Kyrgyzstan
In a heartwarming development, three orphans in Mailuu-Suu town, located in the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, have received municipal apartments. The news was reported by the prosecutor’s office of the region, highlighting the positive impact of this action on the lives of the children.
Mailuu-Suu town is home to 10,696 children under the age of 18, with at least 10 of them being full orphans. The prosecutor’s office issued an instruction to the mayor of the town in December 2023 to rectify violations related to the issuance of a municipal apartment to another full orphan who had not received one upon reaching 16 years of age.
The initiative was prompted by a statement from a resident of the town, M.A., who approached the prosecutor’s office seeking assistance. The prosecutor, Ernest Asakeyev, emphasized that the situation reflects a lack of proper control and the superficial attitude of certain state bodies towards the housing needs of such citizens.
This positive step not only ensures a better future for the orphans but also sheds light on the importance of addressing the housing needs of vulnerable individuals in society. It serves as a reminder of the responsibility that state bodies and local authorities have in ensuring the well-being of all citizens, especially those in need of support and care.
The action taken by the prosecutor’s office is a beacon of hope for the orphans in Mailuu-Suu town and sets an example for other regions to follow in prioritizing the welfare of vulnerable members of the community.
